Dried flower wreaths

For lasting unique floral wreaths & handmade swags, let us discuss ways to preserve flowers using these methods. A desiccant agent with a mix of silica gel/borax; microwave; & air-drying method (which is the simplest).  These methods allow you to preserve your memories in hand crafted wreaths that will never die.  If this idea doesn’t appeal to you, there are many family owned businesses to help you out.

Dried flower wreaths, how fitting, as I just received a unique fresh eucalyptus leaf Christmas wreath with red and purplish berries on it from my Granddaughter Sandy & husband Alex, sent from Australia.  The instructions said to keep it in a cool place, out of the sun & it will dry naturally.  Skeptic that I am, I will wait & see, as I continue to enjoy it, with a large candle in the center for YUMMY GOOD EYE CANDY.

Have you ever been to Flower Farms?  They’re quite a few in United States from California (where day lilies are available all year) to Connecticut (for plants, shrubs & other garden supplies delivered to your door with gardening tips & helpful ideas) to….Vermont for perennials, unusual bulbs & seasonal annuals are available.  Check it out.

With Mothers Day coming-up soon, do a special handmade gift for her.  We will be using lavender buds & pink larkspur, crushed & mixed together, filling colorful net bags. WAH-LAH a smell good treat for Mom, and made in the USA.
